Daram Renamer is a free open source program for Microsoft Windows devices to rename any number of files in one swift operation.

The program requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher, and runs on any version of the Windows operating system starting with Windows 7.

Windows users who use a firewall with strict rules, in particular a rule that blocks new connections, may notice that Daram Renamer won't start under that configuration. The error log highlights that the program attempts to establish a connection.

The issue can be resolved by allowing the program to connect to the Internet. Users who don't want this can add the listed IP address in the error log to the hosts file to redirect it to localhost.
Daram Renamer has a clean interface. You can add any number of files using the "browse"-icon in the interface or by using drag and drop.

The program supports undo and redo operations, may sort filenames, and includes an option to add a date to the filename on top of that.

You need to select the apply button to apply the changes to the files.

Daram Renamer is an easy to use rename program and that is the application's greatest strength. It displays all changes directly in the interface and supports a good number of rename rules and options.

While it is not as sophisticated as rename tools such as Ron's Renamer, Siren, or the intimidating Bulk Rename Utility, it is sufficient for the majority of rename operations.
