Description
Recently, we read with interest the article by Huang et al. [1]. They performed a meta-analysis of nine case–control studies (5,641 cases and 10,471 controls) to examine the association between insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) CA repeat polymorphisms [(CA)19 repeat polymorphism, (CA)17 repeat polymorphism, and (CA)20 repeat polymorphism] and breast cancer. The meta-analysis suggests that the three IGF-I (CA) repeat polymorphisms had no association to breast cancer risk. It is an interesting study. Nevertheless, several issues seem worth commenting.
