Description
Langerhans’ cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare disease caused by an uncontrolled clonal proliferation of dendritic cells, which may affect almost any organ [1]. A variety of lesions of the central nervous system (CNS) occurring during the course of the disease have been described in conventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies [2]. However, to our knowledge, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) findings of brain involvement in LCH have not been published before. In this case report, we present DTI findings of pontine involvement in a patient with LCH and discuss possible underlying mechanisms for the changes seen in the DTI parameters
