This letter is in reference to the article by Di Cesare et al. [1], regarding the association of anorectal malformations (ARMs) and neurospinal dysraphism (NSD) in terms of future fecal continence. Based on the clinical research on the same issue conducted in the first Pediatric Surgical Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the General Hospital ‘‘Georgios Gennimatas’’ that has culminated in the publishing of the PhD thesis titled ‘‘Dysraphic Anomalies and Functional Outcome of Anorectal Malformations’’ (PhD No. 2843, University Year 2009–2010, Thessaloniki 2010) [2], I would like to comment the following:
