MXROAD helps you improve design quality by combining traditional engineering workflows of plan, profile, and cross-sections with innovative 3D modeling technology based on parametric relationships and constraints. Create a 3D model at the beginning of your project and perform preliminary analysis and design visualization in real time with information-rich modeling integrated with mapping, GIS, and business tools such as PDFs, i-models, and hypermodels.
Capabilities:
- Acquire and incorporate surveys
Work with any type of field-data survey, ASCII, GPS, LiDAR, contour maps, photogrammetric, and many other forms of data. You can modify and process the data as needed and when the design is complete, upload design data to data collectors for stakeout or automated machine guidance for site preparation.
- Create horizontal and vertical alignments
Use object-oriented coordinate geometry and alignment design capabilities that provide intelligent updating as you quickly create precision horizontal and vertical alignments. Use elevation profiles to display surface information as well as vertical alignments associated with horizontal alignments.
- Create profiles and cross sections
Create profiles and cross sections from any point within the design. View updates on the fly as the design is modified with dynamic cross sections. You can see the ground changing to reflect design edits. Include surface features, roadway components, and notations such as limits or stationing.
